Tree removal in Seville East
Seville East is farmland between Seville and Woori Yallock, with a handful of house blocks. The farm overlay and the township overlay set different limits.

The rule in Seville East
Seville East is mostly farmland, and SLO6 covered 95 of our 111 points. On a farm block here, the council's permit takes in native vegetation of any size, and any tree over:
- 1.1 m
- around the trunk at 1.3 m. A trunk roughly 35 cm thick.
- 4 m
- Within 4 m of a building is exempt, and overhanging limbs can go back to a 4 m gap.
- 10 m
- The 10/30 rule, at 103 of the 111 points. The conditions.
SLO6 also exempts dead vegetation and pruning for a plant's health, but not young regrowth. Planted windrows can come out under a property management plan the council has accepted.

The houses
Four points fell in the residential zone, and all four were under SLO22, the township overlay, which SLO22's own statement extends to Seville East along with Seville and Woori Yallock. On those blocks the threshold drops to 50 cm around, any indigenous plant needs a permit, and the exemption around a building shrinks to 2 m. All four were in a Bushfire Prone Area. DDO5 covers the same streets, for building design only.

Conservation land and the flood overlay
On the Rural Conservation land, 11 of 18 points were under SLO2 rather than SLO6, which adds an exemption for regrowth under 10 years on lawfully cleared land. The flood overlay came up at 15 points across the locality; it controls building and works, not tree removal. The post office here opened in 1954 and closed in 1969.
